Does anyone know if the brace will clear the Holley Stealth-Ram on a Vortech set up in a 91 Z? any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Strut Tower Brace
What brand? Don't think any of them clears, the edelbrock and BMR ones won't most likely. BMR has more clearance than the edelbrock one.

Re: Strut Tower Brace
I know for a fact that the Edelbrock TPI brace won't fit without modification or stock hood...got one as part of a package deal with subframe connectors. The brace hits on the throttlebody and stut mounts sit about 3-4" above the strut tower. I'm trying to decide if I should modify or sell it. I have a ram air hood, so if I mod it I think it'll clear the hood....need to do some mock up and measure to be sure about the hood clearance though.

Re: Strut Tower Brace
my bmr strut tower brace worked nicely for my old Gm tpi but when i put the First fuel injections tpi on there it didnt fit anymore so i had to make 1 inch plates for it to barley clear the plenum... the brace just misses the hood by a hair but it all works... from what i hear the HSR fit even higher than the first intake so i dont think you will be able to use the strut tower brace anymore... thats was one of my reason not going with the HSR...

Re: Strut Tower Brace
No, none of the aftermarket ones will clear a stelth ram, without mods.
Better off building one yourself.

Re: Strut Tower Brace
Well I do have a fabricator/welder at my shop, I am sure he could build one. Does anyone out there have one made already? this would cut down on time if I had plans to go by

Re: Strut Tower Brace
The BMR won't fit with a stealth ram unless you modify the hood. I wonder if the UMI piece will fit with a stealth ram using either aftermarket strut mount or some sort of strut mount spacer.
I have the BMR with stealth ram combo and honestly i don't like visually how the BMR piece fits.
