Quick power steering pulley question

Hello, hope this is the right forum.

I needed a new pulley for my 91, so its a serp set up. I accidentally got the wrong one, its slightly smaller. The original one had a diameter of 6.5 inches, this one is around 5.5. I'm assuming I got one for a V belt set up?

I'm guessing you probably can't use it, although it does line up correctly and presses on no problem. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Quick power steering pulley question

Are the grooves the same? The smaller pulley will make the PS pump turn approximately 16% faster. This won't hurt anything for street use but might not be what you want for extended high rpm driving.

Let us know if you need any add'l suspension parts.

Thanks for the info!

This car will be strictly street...unfortunately I do not have the parts with me right now, but I believe the grooves were the same. I'll double check and just go with it so long as the grooves are matching.
