Weird noise after strut and mount replacement
This morning I replaced both my struts and strut mounts, both were the originals and shot, well after I got them on I went for a test drive and whenever I hit a bumb or something my driver side strut sounds like its hitting something metal on metal and idk what it could be, it rides alot better and doesn't seem to move or anything but it's just a noise that I don't like or know what could make it. Any ideas?

It's probably the big nut on the top of the rod. Easy fix - tighten it with the weight of the car on the wheels. Best way to do it is with a hammering air gun - but make sure you do it in short bursts. If you spin the rod too much it will heat up the rubber seal and damage it.

I used an air rachet and adjustable wrench yesterday to tighten it up, I'll go back over it today though, just have to figure out how the dust cap comes off

Yeah I got it, driver side nut was really loose. It's all tight now
