Strange Front Coil-Overs

I was reading my Feb 2012 GMHTP mag and noticed that they were showcasing the Strange front coil-overs in the "Cutting Edge" section. Does anyone know anything about these? I checked Strange Eng website and could not find anything or on any vendors sites. I am looking to switch k-members, A-arms, and coil-overs and would like to know more.

Re: Strange Front Coil-Overs

nothing about coilovers in the front of a 3rd gen is cutting edge. there are some newer offerings from Qa1, and apparently Strange, but there is still little performance benefit to be had over a set of good struts and springs. these cars are just not made for coilovers and they do limit you in alignment and other areas.

unless you are using them to try and save a little weight from the front end, or use a really long light spring for a drag application, i would look into something else IMO

Re: Strange Front Coil-Overs

I would be using these for a street/strip application on my 85 Z28, so getting weight of the front end is a large concern for me. I didn't mean that the coil overs were cutting edge, that is just the name of the section GMHTP uses to show off new products. I have messed with the Spohn coil overs on another car and may go that route but I wanted to see if anyone had any information on these specific ones.
