Upgrades?

i just bought a 89 iroc not to long ago i want to get new struts and shocks for the car but dont know what to go with i dont want to buy expensive shocks because i have a 69 protouring project that im trying to finish up at the same time should i get just shocks or should i get more than that i want the car to have a tight feel and something that handles corners nicely. i am planning on dropping an ls1 in it later on

Simply doing shocks will not get what you want. Either do it all, or leave it as is.

If cash is an issue, I'd leave as is. I did Bilstein shocks/struts, Eibach springs, and all new front suspension components as well as all new polyurathane bushings everywhere - total cost was about $1800 total and that was 3 years ago.
