Third Gens Death Gave Me Life
Third Gens Death Gave Me Life
I know very little about these cars other than my buddies Iroc got us in all sorts of trouble with Johny Law back in the late 90's. I have no other info other than "the donor car was a third gen camero" as I bought the car off the guy who bought the car off the original owner. Previous owner let the car fall apart and I am in the process of bringing it back.
The car is at my mechanics place right now getting a new 3.5 ratio steering box and the GM tilt column slop repaired. I work long hours and did not have the time to do the job. When I get the car back I am going to do a complete front end rebuild, and the info I found here was outstanding!
A little about me; 15+ years in the USAF current living in North Western Louisiana. I have a passion for muscle cars, currently own a 72 Olds 442, 69 C10 Short Bed Fleet, and the car below. Now this 1960 El Camino clone may look tame but under the hood beats that camero heart ... and boy does that surprise people! I'll post some pics of the sub frame when I get the car back, if y'all are interested.

Hey, Squirrel,
Welcome to TGO. You're correct, the info (and member knowledge) on site is outstanding. And we appreciate any contributions. BTW, note the spelling of Camaro.
Oh, Uncle Tom is from your territory and, IIRC, he too is retired USAF.
