mount drag shocks upside down?
I heard it was better to mount your drag racing shocks upside down. Is this true?

Depends what you're trying to do. The valving is different on compression and rebound.

Confuzed- correct.
The reason for inverted shocks is to reduce the unsprung weight. This isn't just a "drag shock" thing. With the body of the shock mounted to the axle, you have to have all that mass moving with the axle as it moves. In theory, reducing that mass can make a difference.
I'm not sure of any other reason why you'd invert shocks, so if I'm missing something, let me know

SCCAjunkie is right WRT to what the advantage is, and it shouldn't change the dampening _as long as_ they work upside down. Some shock designs will, some will not. I would call the manufacturer and ask.
