Lots of sway

Just got my brothers 88camaro on the road today so I took it for a drive. Feels like a boat. Sways quite a bit when you turn the wheel back and forth.
Other that that it rides solid and smooth. Even though the sway bars and bushings/end links look decent should we try replacing them first to see if that eliminates the problem?

Re: Lots of sway

I have the same problem with mine currently.

I just ordered some intrax lowering springs, and a new panhard bar. Feels like mine moves side to side. Hoping the Panhard bar helps with that.

Check the panhard bar, the rear control arms, and all the bushings.

I can update you further after this weekend (hopefully)

Re: Lots of sway

Depending on what was done to the car while it was off the road, make sure to check all bolts are tight, its an easy enough mistake to forget to tighten something all the way

You don't mention whether the struts/shocks have been replaced at some point. If not, they're well over 20 years old and no doubt require replacement. And, of course, all the rubber bushings are in the same boat.
