S 10 manual steering box install help.

I finley found a S 10 manual steering box to put in my 1988 Firebird.
Which pitman arm do I use the s10 or the Firbird one?

haha this cracks me up. i just sold an iroc steering gear box to a guy at work to put in his s10 because he couldnt stand the manual gear box looks like you 2 could have traded

If your S-10 steering box looks like this, the 3rd gen pitman will bolt right up.

Yea thats the one I have.

Thanks Guys I will use Pitman arm off the firebird.

The S10 pitman arm will work but it's a different length. It will change the steering geometry slightly. I think the main change will be the turning radius.

Trouble with keeping the S10 pitman arm is that the idler arm on the other side will be the wrong length. Again, it screws up steering geometry mostly in turns. For those of us who mainly do straight line acceleration with very little turns, the S10 pitman arm will do just fine. If you want to use it in a street car then the F-body pitman arm is highly recommended.
