Rear end pulling/grabbing

Hey guys did a little searching and couldn't find anything like my issue.
So basically about to put my car on the road after resto modding it for the past year. Finally drove it out of the garage last week. Everything seemed normal backing out of the garage, but when you put it in first and drive forward. A weird pulling/grabbing is felt coming from the rear end. Let me say that this feeling was felt before we tore the car down because we shattered some teeth in the ring gear. Swapped that out for a new ring and pinion. Changed the Torque arm mount and trans mount cause those were shot as well. Today I changed rear shocks because mine were bent and drove the car, but the noise was still present.
I seen some of my bushings are trashed for the panhard bar. Also, I have a leaky pinion seal that I am changing tomorrow. So I am hoping it's either not enough gear oil or old bushings that is causing this noise. We haven't even opened it up yet on the road because we didn't want to break the ring gear again. It's kind of a violent pulling though almost a lumpy feel to it. Weird because it doesn't happen in reverse only going forward. Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Rear end pulling/grabbing

So the issue may very well be two shot bearings. My dad towed the car home when it got painted on a dolly without the drive shaft in. Nor was there any gear oil in the rear diff. And he said to my oh well how was I supposed to know there wasn't gear oil. He helped me take it apart, but that's besides the point at this point. Any ways the bearings are torched.

My question is does the axles have to be popped out in order to change the pinion bearing?

I will answer the question for anyone who reads this in the future. You do have to pull the axles to change the pinion bearings. Everything must be pulled away from the gears to get the pinion out. I had bearings scattered all over the differential. I would say this is why my car felt like it was grabbing and pulling.
