Those of you with delphi 670 or aftermarket 800 steering box, COME INSIDE!
It's time to upgrade my steering on the TA, and I am left with a bit of a dilemma. Have my existing 800 series steering box performance built by Lee Manufacturing, or just get a new improved 670 steering box through them. I am torn here with these two options.
On one hand, it seems like half the people with rebuilt or AGR style 800 boxes say that they never were able to get rid of the center dead spot in the steering. A few guys have even gone through 2-3 AGR boxes with no luck. Yet then again, the other half say the steering is amazing with an AGR or Lee built 800 box.
On the other hand, the newer style 670 box seems to be a precision steering box with not many downsides that I've heard of, besides a bit more cash up front.
I am looking for real life experience here from any of you that have either of these setups. I would love to mostly hear about experience with the 670 box, but any info on the 800 boxes that some of you have had good luck with, I'd like to hear about as well. It seems that the info online about these two is so far spread that it's really been tough to make a final decision. Make up my mind for me here!!
