Re: good shocks/struts???
do you know if it comes with any type of mounting hardware or warranty? its a good price even if i buy the harware seperately, autozone has the same ones for $50 more but has a lifetime warranty hand has mounting hardware.
im on the fence on who to order from. do i really need a lifetime warranty?? for $50 more...
the $50 extra is for the pair.

Re: good shocks/struts???
therer 100 bucks a pair and the mounting hardware comes with the shocks. Personally I dont think you need a life time warrenty but its a free warenty then it doesnt hurt to have it.
kyb also makes some twin tube shocks that are a tad cheeper and will work well to. I just really dont like monroe shocks as there the cheepest ones you can get. For a extra 10-20 bucks kybs are better in the long run IMO

You can get monroe. I just dont really like them IMO and always had problems with them after 30k miles on other vehicles.

Re: good shocks/struts???
I'm also in the same boat. I'd like my IROC to ride as it did 26 years ago. I'd LOVE to get Bilstiens but those are like $750+ for a set of 4. Does anyone rebuild the stock Delco-Bilstien rear struts that I have now?
What about KYB AGX?
Or are run of the mill KYBs going to be perfectly fine?

Re: good shocks/struts???
If you want an OEM replacement then go with KYB GR-2.
I have them on all 4 wheels and I like them, they are not super stiff but still handle very well and have a good ride.
AGX have damping adjustments and cost considerably more.
