Ebay Strut Mounts.. Anyone have them?
I was poking around eBay and found these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261074036961...84.m1436.l2649
I am rebuilding my suspension and was planing on buying the ones from Founders Performance but if these are just as good and save me $45.00 what the heck.
So anyone try them or have them?

Looks like the bearing is the same height as the stockers, so the UMI/Spohn/Hotpart/Founders ones will still probably be the choice for lowered cars. Be interesting to see how the quality is though, these might be better for the guys running around at stock ride height.

Re: Ebay Strut Mounts.. Anyone have them?
Well no answers yet but I was studding the pictures and have to call the founders performance ones better.
To me it looks like the eBay ones have spacers and the only support is on the 3 spacers at each stud. This will also allow an easy entry for water.
The founders one are raised up with what looks like heavy tubing with a cap welded on top. Also the base plate sits correctly not on spacers.
I have to call the eBay ones junk now unless someone can point out where I am wrong.
EDIT: Typing as midnightfirews6 posted. LOL

I was guessing it had to ride with the spacers on top of the fender well to get to the stock height.

Those are copies of the old design ones where you could shim up the plates. I would just get some founders ones, not much more and a hell of a lot nicer without spacers

Hmm didn't notice the spacers. I think the old Hotpart strut mounts used a design similar to that which used spacers and I think some people had some complaints about them, but those were just some old posts I came across when I was researching to buy mine so I didn't pay close attention as it's been a while since they made those.
The Hotpart 2nd design ones have a great reputation and were apparently good enough for everyone else to copy them, here they are on sale for $50 more (about the same price as the Founder's pieces but these have a warranty on the bearings), but no free shipping.
