Re: Steering intermediate shaft

i think the 90's Jeep Grand Cherokee intermediate steering shaft that fits G bodies also fits the F body. it's got a pair of actual u-joints instead of the silly setup with a rag joint that GM used on our cars...

so a junkyard is the place to look..

Be careful. Not all of the GRAND cherokees fit. I found that out. I ended up using one from a XJ Cherokee.

Search "cherokee" and you will find the thread.

Re: Steering intermediate shaft

Unless this is a restoration or a car you want to keep stock I would just look at your local junkyard. I plan on just grabbing one the next time I'm up there for my car. I priced them online with their price list and looks like it will cost me around $12.

Darn it James you beat me to it... knew I shouldn't type as much.

So you guys are pretty much a better way to just do the swap with an astro van? If so is the swap hard?
