I can't seem to find my directions for the ssm suspension set up. I looked In the search and I can't find them also. I would be greatly appreciative of anyone who could send/ email them to me.

I know the SSM bars are mentioned in there, but I don't know if any settings were. I will check for you.
Google does not come up with anything.

 

PM articwhitez , he loves those things and is a regular usuer here. He has a current thread in trans/driveline section on building a cheap 9" thirdmember, you can fine his contact there. He may have them or at least be knowledgeable to point you in the right direction

 

I dug out my booklet. The correct title is How To Run 11 Second ETs 82-92 Camaro/Firebird and most GM rear wheel drive cars, by GregMarietti. I bought my copy from Summit many years ago. I'm the 1 that still does not have a cell phone, so I will type the appropriate paragraph.
On page 12, E. Subframe Connectors, paragraph 2,
Southside Machine Company (6400 Honeytown Road P.O. Box 537, Smithville Ohio 44677 (216) 669-3556) produces a kit for these cars under part number 1316. It includes subframe connectors, their unique 32" lift bars and a crossmember. This is the setup to use if maximum ET is desired from the car. This kit eliminates the factory torque arm and lower control arms. Some welding is required to install these parts. Double check all measurements and pinion angle before final assembly. The price of the kit is very reasonable compared to other alternatives, such as custom fabricating the frame ties and crossmember. I have posted my best ETs with the Southside lift bars on the car.
While this is being done, keep in mind the installation of a roll bar, and it would be best to anchor the main hoop and front support bars into the subframe connectors through the floor. Special outriggers need to be installed so everything is ties together solid.
