question about my g92 iroc-z

Hey guys i have a 1986 camaro iroc-z with the g92 packedge and im going to swap the ehole drive train from it to my 1990 camaro iroc. The g92 has rear disc and rear yellow gas shock, the 1990 has rear drums and doesent have the wonder bar (wich the g92 has). The thing is is that im selling the 86's body but i want to know what else should i keep that is "g92". Thanks

Re: question about my g92 iroc-z

Going off of memory when I did research on my own G92 a few years ago, The G92 option was mainly for the rear end in 1986; as apposed to when in 1989 they made an entire package out of the G92 option.

Have you checked the sway bar sizes on both cars and decided which balance you like better? The G92 might have larger say bars, but you may not like the larger ones. It's really a personal feel when it comes to those.

Other than that, I don't know if there's any other options that the 86' G92 would have over your 1990.

Just fyi: The G92 rear end has not just the disk brakes, but It should also have a better rear gear and a limited slip diff.

Also, what Wheels/sizes do you have on both cars? Say for instance you had one set of 15" iroc rims and one set of 16" iroc rim's, the 16's would be the ones to keep.

Also if your not willing to buy adjustable aftermarket control arms/pan hard bar; I would highly suggest checking both of your cars and deciding which ones have better condition rubber bushings. You would obviously want the ones with better bushings.

This is only if your sticking with stock stuff however, Something that I wouldn't suggest. Don't get me wrong these cars handle great out of the factory, but the rubber bushings are probably equally shot on both of your cars.
