Strut shaft doesn't go far enough up through the mount

How you guys doin.
I noticed my struts don't have any exposed threads after I tightened the nut. When I seat the bearing onto the shaft I can feel it kind of "pop" in place. There is no stock cover blocking the shaft from moving up more. I don't know what the problem is. I'm using kyb struts with UMI camber/caster plates.
I know these images aren't perfect, best I can provide; sorry.
Anyway:

I've never done this before so let me know if you see something out of place

Let me know if you need any more info/pics. Thanks for your time.

My koni yellows and hotpart (same design) strut mounts seemed the same way. The threads reached the nylock of the nut so I called it good.

Yeah I can't feel any more thread underneath I guess that's how it's made.
