Strut tower sandwich. Good idea?
So I installed a BMR coil over front
suspension kit and I believe (not
certain though) that the install
called for both plates to be up top
but I decided it would probably be
stronger to sandwich the tower with
one plate on top and one underneath.
My question is, is this how it is
supposed to be? If not, is this a
better way? And how will this affect
any alignments I get? Any help here
is appreciated. See the attached pics
for reference. Thanks!
P.S. I will also be installing a strut
tower brace when it's all done.

I would suspect by the design of that plate it doesn't make a difference either way.

I know of some people who have welded around the strut tower to reinforce that, but I'm not sure if that entirely necessary.. The plates should do a good enough job.

Sounds good, thanks! Now I assume
that alignments will still be easy?
I'm not sure how they are done but
the bottom plate does not have a
whole lot of room to move. Maybe
a quarter inch in all directions if it
needed to be adjusted.
