92 rear end SWAP

Ok I am getting ready to swap the rear end in my 92 rs for a 96 z28. I have been reading all the threads and think i pretty much got it down my question is about the proportioning valve. Just to clarify i am going to need one for a 96 or one for the disk brakes now or can I just change the spring inside ??? i know its a dumb question but I just want to make sure I get it right. And also the brake cables should I get them off a 96 also??? And these are the only things that I will need to change for the swap right...
The info you guys provide is priceless and I couldnt do the things Ive done on my own without it.... Thanks ......

All you will need to get is get a disc brake prop valve. Might be easier to just get the whole master from a disc brake car. Just depends on what you want to spend and your resources. As for the cables you could try Ed, but if you plan on finishing the car in the next few years I would wait for someone else will chime in on that. Good luck with the swap.

Since you'll essentially be using 89-92 PBR's (93-97 are nearly identical), use the 89-92 second design disc combination valve. It must be the second design or the tube nut threads won't fit your car. More info on the topic, to incude master and parking brake cables, below:

I have no experience with the spring swap.

Check out the info about masters in the following link--hey, GM says either a drum or disc master one could be used, depending on how the owner wanted pedal feel.
