Replacing Rear Shock Absorbers
Has anyone replaced rear shock absorbers? I am wondering how technical the job is, and if a beginner can do it with minimal/basic tools.
If someone could please inform me of the process or their experience, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Replacing Rear Shock Absorbers
It is one of the easiest jobs to do on these cars. 2 big nuts at the bottom, 2 smaller nuts at the top, under the carpet, behind the back seats. Very very easy. Hardest part usually, is dealing with rusted-up hardware. Once you get past that it's cake.
You'll find that the rear springs will literally fall out during the job if you let em. Might not be a bad idea to renew those as well. Get a pr of Moog CC635.

A manual for the specific year of car you own are usually very very helpful for beginners. Then if you need more help we are here. Also you tube has many videos on projects like this. A picture is worth 1,000 words and sometimes more. You will be happy with the money you save by doing these projects yourself and get some self satisfaction out of it as well.

Thank you everyone for the help! I replaced the rear shocks and it was a piece of cake (except for twisting off some of those tight nuts was a bit tough)!
