Alston or MAC sfc? Which is better
I'm looking at the Alston and MAC inncer sfc and they look very similiar in design.
Is one better than the other?
Does one hang down more?
Is it just a case of "which ever is cheaper?
Need the advice of the TGO experts.

Love my alstons, tightened up the car nicely, haven't noticed any ground clearance issues except in extreme cases.

The MAC and ALSTON SFC are similar in where they locate and ground clearance. The difference is that the Alston SFC's have a formed sheet metal cup on each end which is forced onto the front and rear subframes of the car capturing them in 3 sides. They have holes in them and hardware that allow you to drill the subframe and bolt them in, then you can drive to somewhere at your leisure to have them welded in. I'd suggest grinding a bit of the lip off the cup before installing so you have a clean bare metal to weld to. If you choose to toss the mounting hardware and just weld them in, then the holes that you would use to bolt them in become another place that you can weld them to the subframe.
By comparison the MAC have a sheet metal plate that must be welded to the front and rear subframe of the car.

PS: Yes I sell the Alston SFC's so that would sway my opinion, but I've had them installed on my Camaro long before I started TDS. I was so impressed with their design (along with the fact that they worked on both convertible and coupe) that I decided to sell them on my web site.

The MACs hang lower, I have both. The altsons have a nicer mount to the frame also but it needs a little tweaking for the trans crossmember and needs to be jacked up tight against the subframes.

Are those the MAC's on that dual cat car? I am literally a week away from having to order a set. Really thinking the Alstons at this point.
Any shots of the Alstons at the front subframe? I am just wondering if these will clear with a 4" cat-back.
