Help with caster/camber plates

Does anybody happen to have a pair of stock caster camber plates? I need a pair for a turbo project. If anybody has a lead please let me know.

Thanks!

Re: Help with caster/camber plates

you mean strut mounts? Yes. They have 183,000 miles on them. For some reason i threw them on the shelf instead of the trash last spring when i replaced them with aftermarket.

Or you could buy new... http://www.summitracing.com/search/y...e/strut-mounts

Re: Help with caster/camber plates

First of all, THANK YOU. It never occurred to me that they might be sold as an after market part.

Second are yours in good shape? I need to modify a couple for what I need and would like to try with a used pair. (Mine are bent).

PM or email me thanks!

Re: Help with caster/camber plates

Just a warning- I'd imagine most used ones will probably have bad bearings and/ or cracked rubber at this point. If you're modifying it and raising the mounting surface and replacing the bearings obviously this isn't an issue, but if you aren't planning on doing that then you'd be better off ordering fresh, good quality replacements.

The ones off of mine still had good rubber, but the bearings turned kind of rough- and they had only seen 93,000 easy miles with non-blown struts when I replaced them.

Re: Help with caster/camber plates

I agree, i wouldn't use used strut mounts for anything other than test fitting. When you put the car on the road/track either get some new moog stock replacements or some aftermarket ones from founders, UMI, J&M products/hotpart.com, or spohn. If i've forgotten any brands please feel free to ad them. I have J&M ones now. I understand they are identical to Founders except founders has upgraded the bearings or bearing plate. UMI is a similar design also. Spohns are a different design. Most aftermarket CC plates raise the strut mounting point to help strut travel on lowered cars.
