Re: replacement front struts
How stock are you looking to go? A lot of members recommend konis and aftermarket strut mounts like Founders, J&M products, or UMI. Other option would be bilstein, and Kyb struts. I bought aftermarket strut mounts so i don't know who makes oem ones other than kyb. If moog makes strut mounts I would buy them for oem replacement.

Re: replacement front struts
Just finished doing this now... I got the AC Delco Strut mounts from rockauto.. Reason being, they have the bigger third slot so you can use either strut mount bracket.. Brackets before 86 and then 87 and up are a little different in the slots closest to the firewall, about a bolt width in either direction... most of the newer aftermarket mounts are made for the newer brackets, except for the Delcos that fit both..You'll need to get a pair of grade 8 washers to cover the slot then the original washer and new nut .. I did end up getting a pair of the newer brackets for $10 at the local pull it yard... so next time I can use any of them... Spohn also sells the newer version brackets for $29 + $10 shipping... Personally just installed the Koni yellows as all my gear was shot... rides nice in the driveway so far and have the original ride height back.. Scroll down for the koni sale thread.. best price I've seen... There on sale til the end of the month.... Probally over kill for my application, but much better then blown stock struts and mounts in my '86
