could i put v8 struts, springs, and suspension in general on a v6 82 camaro?
I am thinking of purchasing a 82 camaro v6 with a v8 tpi engine swap but a major deciding factor for me is the aftermarket. Can I put suspension pieces from v8's on this v6 chassis to stiffen my ride and give me a better hooning experience?
I am just unsure if they have the same holes to bolt everything up. For instance I would like to get sway bars, springs and struts, bushings and subframe reinforcements but I am unsure this could be done with a v6 chassis.
I know the aftermarket for v6 is slim pickens and I know this is a noob question so please don't flame me to hard!

About the only difference is the front springs. There may be a slight difference in rating on the rears, not sure, but you can definitely run V6 rear springs w/ a V8.
Side note, as a previous V6 owner, the aftermarket isnt as abundant as a SBC, but if you search for a while on the V6 board and read the stickies, there's a decent amount of mods you can do, if you're interested to. I modded mine for about a decade and it was fun to play with.

I'm running all V8 suspension pieces on my camaro that originally came with a V6. Only difference really is the spring rates on the front springs. As mentioned above, you can run V6 rear springs with a V8. I did for a year or so till I found some rear V8 springs.

Thank you all very much for the information.
I am looking into the wonderbar so thank you for informing me of this.
I'm going to meet a guy tomorrow to take a look at his '82 v6 that he put an '86 vette TPI engine in with a 5speed. So the fact that I can stiffen this chassis and upgrade the suspension from
more common 3rd gens is HUGE in the decision making process. If the car is in good condition and I buy it ill post some pics and get some ideas from more seasoned 3rd gen owners on how to improve the car with what I want to get out of it.

I recommend you have a wonder bar in that list too.
