Front spring question
So after taking out the A/C/smog, pump, serp. accessory brackets and swapping out the stock heads for aluminum and the steel hood for fiberglass the front end is riding high. Question is cut coils or new springs? And if new springs how do I know which ones to go with?

Re: Front spring question
There are actually 3 options, cut springs, aftermaket, and weight jacks.
Cutting the springs would be the cheapest, rule of thumb is 1/4 coil at a time and DO NOT get them hot when you cut.
Aftermarket will be a little tricky, you could assume that what ever the drop is on the aftermarket springs is what it will drop yours from where it is now.
Weight jacks would be the easiest, but the most expensive. They would allow you to choose your spring rates and ride height.

Re: Front spring question
Hard to order aftermarket if you don't know how much weight is sitting on the front tires. Use a cutoff wheel and remove 1/4 of a coil at a time until you get your desired ride height. It's a pain removing and reinstalling the coils but it's the best way to do it.
You could also go to the junkyard and grab some springs from a V6 car and see how they sit.
