Where they really white/yellow/cream colored when new?

They were black until somewhere around 91, then they went to a offwhite/cream color.
If you don't like them squirt some black paint on them. ;-)

I've only seen black ones on 3rd gens and orange ones on some 4th gens... I've heard about the off white ones but never seen them. Red is a new one I'd guess Energy Suspension or Prothane
It's original, even has the correct part number on it . . .
I wonder if it is just "age" that causes the material to discolor to the pink / red.
Especially since the edges where it was clamped to the body are still whitish . .

This is what the 91ish and up snubbers look like new (maybe it was mid 92 they switched but its some where close to that)
