Different size tires and brake functions.

Hey all!

My Camaro came with P215/65 (front) P215/75 (back) tires
I bought new tires at the same size. Is this alright?
ANd my front brakes I got them replaced and everything.
But they raddle around kinda feeling when I brake on the highway. Everyone says it shoudlent be like that but on the highway? anyways..

For best handling, all four tires should be the same size. Some folks like to put larger tires in the back. (wider, taller, etc.) That is just a matter of personal choice, and, unless the size difference is REALLY noticeable, you won't see a decrease in handling.

I know folks can point out several cars that do not come with same size tires all the way around, but, the F-Body was designed with that in mind. (unlike the newer corvette.)

If your brakes rattle going down the road, and get quiet when you apply light pressure to the pedal, chances are good that the anti-rattle clips were not installed, or, your mechanic did not use any flavor of disk brake quiet. (I really like the stuff that comes in a rattle can, works great, easy to apply, and cheap.)
