my car is at a stock height btw, and no brake mods have been done either yet, also if they do fit with no issues will i be able to lower ot without any issues as well?

Yes, they'll fit, but why? You'd do better to choose at least a 225/50, or better yet, upgrade to 17x9.5s, front and rear, with 5.5" backspacing, on 275/40s. These cars are best at cornering, why minimize that?

I agree, sounds like a downgrade...even the factory 16s are 8 inches wide. But yeah, they'll fit...if you're bent on 17s, I'd look for at least a 245/45/17 on a 17x8 wheel. Or a 275/40/17 on a 17x9, if they don't stick out too far.
