What springs do YOU have on YOUR car???

What springs do YOU have on your car? What are the pros and cons of each brand? Anyone have any problems? I'm thinking about getting springs because they are some of the more inexpensive mods you can do to the car. Anyone??? I think I'd get the Eibach Pro-Kit, but I've seen some pics of the Sportline and they look killer( RSpeed ) Would the sportline look a little odd with 16x8 IROC wheels? I'm thinking the car wouldn't look right with such small wheels and lowered that much. Anyone happen to have pics of the Sportline's with 16inch wheels? Thanks.

Do you mean lowering springs or weight transfer springs?

All being well I expect to replace the shocks, struts and springs this summer as well as add subframes and the global west stearing brace which I have but still need to modify so that it will fit my 83 TA.

I'm fairly sure that I'll get the global west springs because they are linear as opposed to the progressive type and they only lower the car about one inch which I think is enough.

I'm using the Ground Control ride height adjusters with a 175 lb/in springs in the rear. I already have the adj panhard rod from Spohn with poly/rod, his weldin SFC's and Tokico rear shocks (also from Ground Control) and Spohns adj LCA's.

The front is going to get the 5 way adj Tokico struts, adj weight/height jacks on the springs and upgraded bushings. I already have the factory wonderbar. (picked that up at Hawk Parts, listed here as a supporter) The front springs will probably be around a 290 - 340 lb/in rate. I haven't worked that out, yet.

Did any of you guys go to aftermarket springs from a factory WS6 or equivalent suspension? I want to go to Tokico 5-ways and a keep the ride height close to stock so I don't put my deep pans and 3" pipes at risk. (possible upgrade to tubular A-arms and K-frame, too)

espicrocz: Nice ride, man! I love the stance, shoulda come from the factory like that.

Thanks, SpeedCat. I make excuses to leave the house and run errands during the summer. This car is FUN to drive, I had a buddy autocross with me last summer. After the event he swore off front wheel drive cars. He said after driving my car, they had now become boring.
The only thing I have ever drug on the ground is the front lower chin spoiler, and it mainly only does leaving the driveway down the curb to the street.

Jamex was a reasonably priced spring and good performer. But they've virtually abandoned the US market. They closed their Reno NV wherehouse and are concentrating on the European market. I HAD Jamex on order, but was about a week too late. I bought Eibach Pro-Kit instead.

I run heavy front springs and light rear ones in my Camaro, good for a higher powered car.

Front: Guldstrand Slalom Springs cut 1" (about 725lb-in)

Rear: GC adjustable spring kit with 150lb-in springs

Rides decent and still hooks well.

Oh yeah, Bilstein struts and shocks too.

Im using the intrtax springs..their a progressive spring 550-720 sumthing up fornt..cant remeber the rear but much stiffer then stock. Im also using Koni reds at all 4. I must say the car handles like its on rails, but the ride quality isnt exactly anywhere near a cadillac, but I prefer a suer stiff ride as oppsed to a soft mushy feel...to see my install go to he website (iroczone) in my sig and look under tech articles to see them...

I have eibach sportline lowering springs in the back, and lowering springs off my buddys 95 impalla ss. I dont know the brand of them and either does my budy. I did this and then cut them down a little. I believe I have about a 2-1/2" drop in the front and about a 1-1/2" drop in the back. The front is very stiff ( you can sit on it and it doesent move ) and the back is stiff but not that too stiff( I wanted it this way so I can get better traction on the streets, and get that raked look )
