Spotting cracks in a frame

I've replaced all the rubber on my car with polyurethane. I don't have sub-frame connectors or a wonder bar and my car is a T-top. Would having poly vs rubber make my car more susceptible to frame cracks or even body cracks?

What are the signs of a cracked radiator support, mainly how would my car feel if it was cracked? I plan on installing SFC's pretty soon along with a wonderbar. I know it probably doesn't matter but which one should I install first, they will be going on one right after the other but does it matter the order?

since there really isn't a frame under these cars, you'll need to look for things, such as doors, hoods or back hatches, not fitting. The SFC's are the biggest and the best strengthening device you can add, the wonderbar helps. The order doesn't really matter, it's what they'll do for your car.

My car used to be street raced (by the previous owner) alot and without SFC's there is a small (about 1/2") tear at the sail panel/roof junction on both sides. That was just from teakin' the body on a launch.

I think every V-8 car has those tears in that section. At least every one I have looked at.

Ibeleive you get a lot of body twist with T-tops. tried autocrossing with t-top car once, lots of body roll.

How would having T-Tops affect body roll? is their suspension set up differently?

OK...Springs and shocks and sway bars affect body roll more , but a t-top roof does not have the same bridge effect that a solid roof does. Therefore the body twists and does not create a rigid platform for the suspension.

That makes me feel better- my V6 has them too. That's a body seam area; GM's got it filled with lead- so be careful sanding it. It's not bondo! (I regret not wearing a dust mask... I didn't know.)

Actually some of the body cracking is due to the upper door hinges wearing out. It is kind of a long technical story but it is true.
