87 w Alston weld in SFC looking to see who has made through body connectors

I have 87 T/A that I had added Alstons and made huge difference but scrape pulling in some driveways, was wondering if anyone has cut through floor and connected with like 2x3 square tube similar to DSE's like this on first gen

I have liiked at what DSE offers and theyre more perimiter type bars
I have searched this site and searched looked at floor pics and looks like the issue will be with where exhaust goes behind end of frt frame where exhaust crosses to tunnel
I dont have my car apart where I can actually look at the floor to see what can be done

Second question, would perimeter type add anything to what I already have? or call it good and live with scraping as is?

DSE has some really good pics of their 3rd gen stuff in their directions/install stuff. they looked so simple to make (compared to the price they charge) that I saved them just in case I decide to make some myself.
