Guys I need help. I cannot get the new springs in.

What ever I do I cannot get the new springs in. I have been working on it for about 5 hours. and i cannot get even one in. I compressed the spring all I can and now the spring is starting to get in a u shape. and when i place it on the top of the housing I cannot even start jacking up the A arm. I like need another inch of play and I cannot do it. This is the biggest PITA. Any suggs would be appreciated. BTW Stock WS6 Springs.

you have a spring compressor? This should do it, try to extend the compressor tool the max distance, and crank it down as needed. If your not using this tool, go rent one and be carefull, its times like this at you'll get hurt, so be careful

I had that problem putting moroso trick front springs in my car. After a huge battle (like yourself) I finally took them into a spring shop. They compressed and bound them for me for $20.They had to be compressed 4" for them to be workable.

You're not doing something right. You shouldn't have to compress the springs that much to get them in. Maybe just a couple inches.

Are the front A-arms fully extended? They should be just about perpendicular to the ground. Also, make sure the springs are seated up in the frame correctly. There is essentially a large post (for lack of a better term) in the frame that the tops of the springs fit around.

If the springs aren't in right then, YES it will be much harder to get them in.

With springs slightly compressed and seated correctly in the frame, you should able to pull the A-arm up enough to engage the spring and get a floor jack under the outside lip (the jack should be perpendicular to the car). Crank up the jack till the ball joint engages the spindle, re-install the nut and you should be good to go.
