Lets talk about common rattle traps in thirdgens, will SFC's fix these?

I just ordered Sub Frame Connectors from SPOHN thanks to the lovely link at the top and, well, my car has about a million squeaks and rattles that i especially hear over every tiny bump. The dash rattles, those pillars by the windshield rattle, the doors on occasion hit and rattle on big bumps. The doors are really nice when people close them, they make a loud *slam* when closed gently. I like my car alot but it is becoming no fun to drive. Its more of a nusiance then something to cruise in. I'm wondering if anyone has found a fix to a certain rattle here and there and maybe if everyone speaks out we can all knock out these darned rattles. Thanks

Yo, same here, man. My car rattles like crazy, but during the summer with the windows down and t-tops off, it's bearable for cruising. Now, however, during the winter with the windows up, it sucks! I heard that new door panels to replace cracked ones help, but they'll just crack again if you don't have SFC's. I don't yet, so... I was planning on buying some heavy duty sound deadening material, ripping off all the interior panels (including the dash) and packing all the holes full of that stuff. I know it'll make my car heavier (since that is what they did with the old Cadillacs) but it should make the interior a lot quieter and easier to live with. That's just my idea tho, I have no idea if it'll really help at all. I wonder if all those guys with 4th gen dashes and door panels have solved the rattling...?

The SFC's will greatly help get rid of most of the rattles. It will almost eliminate the dash rattle, but some panels, like maybe the A-pillar plastic panels, may have a clip that has worn due to all the shaking.

They will noticable tighten up the car.

I also have a 4th Gen SS and that was one of the first things I put on it, along with a STB, before taking it to the local road racin courses found in these parts

My dash used to sounds like a baby's rattle until I installed my car alarm. I took the dash apart down to the frame and noticed most of the bolts were loose in the first place. Now that I've got it all back together it doesn't rattle at all. I also had to tighten my side mirrors which were making a racket.

I'm still getting subframe connectors in the future though, because the car sounds downright scary when I pull into my steeply sloped driveway. It creaks like a wooden boat.

I have virtually no drive rattles since my SFC's were installed. Even the wind noise has beed reduced.
