STEERING GEAR

Ok guys im looking for input on the Borgeson steering gear.everyone says that the remans are junk an to buy one of these who here has it an what do you think about it.

I'm curious what they would sell you since they don't list anything in their catalog or web page for third gens and nothing that they do list matches a 3rd gen f-body spec.

FWIW, I've tested dozens of cheap and expensive boxes at this point and have yet to find one that is what it is supposed to be according to the PN. (do a search here if you're interested, I'm pretty sure I've posted links to some videos...) No matter what I supposedly got from them I'd end up testing it to make sure it is what I paid for. I gave up and learned to rebuild my own.

Oh, and I've heard of companies trying to sell 605series boxes for our cars... They aren't rated for nearly the load that we are capable of generating.

Check with powersteering.com to have your box completely refurbished, it will be new again and with a warranty to boot and you don't have worry about it not fitting your car since it would be your box. Turn around time is quick and cost in my opinion is cheaper than buying a high priced aftermarket unit, you have nothing to lose to check.
