Anti sway bar bushing size
Want to replace the front and rear anti sway bar bushings and link bushings on a stock 89 IROC-Z with a 305 and stick. FE2. Pretty much of a daily driver. Just trying to replace worn-out parts -- no performance enhancement desired. But both the Delco on-line catalog and Classic Camaro list the sway bar bushings by size (30, 32, 34 mm) , and I'm not near the car right now to measure the size of the sway bar. It's been 15 years since I did it the last time, and I don't remember the size. In those days the neighborhood FLAPS had the books to look them up -- not any more. Can someone provide me with the size so I can order the parts?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Anti sway bar bushing size
No one can do that for you, by any method other than what you can do for yourself. There's WAY too much possible variation. That's why it's not in the books.
Get near the car. MEASURE it. Easiest way is with an open-end wrench set. Next easiest is a Crescent wrench and/or a pair of calipers (although a measuring tape is usually close enough).
Put the wrench or caliper on the bar next to the bushings; measure. Buy bushings that are the next size smaller than what your bar measures.
If I was the guessing kind on such things, I'd guess it'll be 34. But might be 36. With my luck, I guess wrong every time, when it's my money. When it's yours, my guesses might be better. Or maybe not.

Re: Anti sway bar bushing size
Okay, thanks. Just thought that maybe all Zs might have been equipped with the same size. Good suggestion on the open-end wrench.
