Tips on installing home-made SFC's

I have decided to try an make my own sub-frame connectors, i think ive already got a pretty good idea for a pattern for them. What i need to know is the correct way to install them from someone who really knows what they are talking about. I know everything has to be dead even all the way around the chassis but what should i use to achieve this. Jack stands, ramps etc.?

park the car on a known level surface and take soem readings with an angle finder. jack all 4 cornors up and put jack stands under the control arms and rear end, so it's loaded just likes it's sitting on the gound. use 1/4" and 1/2" ply wood shims to put under the jack stands so you can replicate the measaurements you took on a level surface.

Tip? Measure twice, cut once.
