Steering Column Firewall Bolts

So... when digging around under my dash, I found that the three bolts that hold the base of my steering column to the firewall are missing. Just... missing.

Without even one, I can't find out what size they are, and I've searched and searched, without finding any info.

I just need to know what thread/size those bolts are, so I can buy some :/

Such a simple problem but super hard to solve without at least one bolt to find the size with.

Re: Steering Column Firewall Bolts

If memory serves they were either 6mm or 8mm std thread (whatever that is in those sizes) with washer heads and self-forming threads, originally. I think 6 but it's been a long time since I dinked with em.

Pick up acoupla each size off of the card trees at your local parts store and see. They're both real common sizes anyway, you'll probably find a use for the ones that don't fit this particular application sooner or later.
