You Guys With Lowered Thirdgens...

How many of you guys can no longer fit a floor jack under the K-member after lowering?...

Up until I got a low profile jack, I wasn't able to.
​​​​​​What bothers me more though is that the k-member is so far in from the front the car (worse with full GFX as opposed to a sport coupe with no chin spoiler) that getting a few initial reasonable strokes of the jack handle is almost impossible.

I got to drive up on some 1" thick wood planks if I need to get under the k-member and thats with a race jack.

Yeah well I could no longer stand how the front sat higher than the rear, so I finally pulled the Z-28 springs back out (which was easy) and cut a half-coil off, then re-installed them (which was a P.I.T.A.!). I was expecting a 3/4 to 1 inch drop, but it actually dropped 1-1/4 inch. I am real happy with the stance now, but then noticed that my floor jack won't slide under the K-member anymore. Oh well...

drive it onto small wooden ramps first, easy fix
