power steering ? 3rd gen z28
Power steering is o.k. then tight then o.k have put in different pump 3 times with the same affects wth is wrong with this and yes the fluid is full raised it up turned the wheel end to end at least 25 times maybe I should try a new pump? any help would be great

what pumps are you using and have your checked for slack in the gearbox and also if you have headers and there is slack in the steering gear input or the steering gear box has loose mounting bolts or the frame is cracked it can cause the steering shaft to have enough movement where is binds as it hits the header tube.

The pumps were remans cardone and the steering box is new no cracked frame where it bolts up The problem came before I changed anything it's like no power steering and then it will return

I had my steering box rebuilt. After engine swap, had to fill all fluids and get everything operating. It took me longer than I thought to bleed air from power steering system. I placed front of car on jacks and started car. Turned wheel back and forth many times, with reservoir cap off if I recall correctly. Eventually air stopped bubbling up from fluid in reservoir. Try this procedure again several times, not all at once. That may solve it. Although having bad box is possibility, it would be uncommon. I think it just takes time to get air out. Keep us updated.
