Suggestions for shocks, sways, links and bushings

Looking to tighten up and firm up my old turd. Would love some suggestions on what to buy. 88 IROC convertible. All original stuff now. 95,000 miles. Thanks.

When it comes to shocks and struts Koni Yellow's is usually the gold standard for the Thirdgen F-Body, there are other brands that are up there with the Koni's like QA1 and Detroit Speed, all are rather pricey but you do get what you pay for and dampeners and tires are the most important part of your suspension. On the lesser quality side would be the KYB brand, typically lower in price and quality but are better than your average store brand shock and strut.
Sway bars? You have an IROC what size sway bars do you have already? If you already have a 36mm front sway bar personally I see no need to replace it with an aftermarket piece, put that money towards getting the better/best shocks and struts. For the end links and body bushings for the sway bars Energy Suspension polyurethane is the way to go for a street car.

Do you know what size sway bars you have?

I do not. I am pretty sure everything on the car is 100% stock, especially everything underneath.

Your car being an IROC chances are you already have a 36mm sway bar which is the largest sway bar GM put on the 82-92 f-bodies, but your going to need to check for sure because you could have a different size. The mounting holes for the front sway bar body bushings are off set so you’ll need to reuse your existing sway bar bushing mounts or modify the mounts the ES bushings come with, I modified the ES mounts as I wanted a grease fitting to help reduce noise. Lon over at Topdown Solutions does offer a modified stock bushing mount that have the grease fittings installed but he’s limited to the stock he has on hand, he didn’t have any when I contacted him last year. UMI does offer a plate that solves the issue of the off set body holes and using the ES sway bar bushings.
