I have 4.0138 sportlines on my 88 and want it lower. I am wondering what experiences people have had cutting their sportlines. I replaced my front isolators with rubber tubing but kept the stock isolators in the back. I feel like I need to go down another inch all around.
Remove the rear isolators and see if that does it for you. For me it was too low and the ride was brutal. You can also look into weight jacks so you can dial in the height the way you want.
For some reason my passenger side is half an inch taller than my driver side
ground to fender height is
Driver side front is 26 Driver side rear 27
Pass side front 26.5 Pass side rear 27.5

I too have a height difference with my sportlines. I recently put the stock isolators back in and made sure they are rotated in the perch correctly. I should probably remeasure. I would make sure the springs are sitting in their perches correctly.
Yes, we cut the front Eibach Sportlines for my 91 RS after the car was LS resto-mod'd. It looked like an airplane on take off the front sat so high. The shop cut ONE coil of the front springs. Stance was perfect 🥰
However, the car road harsher than ever and bottomed out. Scrapping was frequent. It was impossible to roll the car over an oil change pit without lifting up on the fenders.
Got a set of UMI weight jacks and raise car 1/2 an inch - perfect, no more issues to speak of.
I wouldn't more than half a coil if you cut.
Total disaster.
