Do aftermarket steering boxes perform better than stock??

Will an aftermarket steering box perform better than stock? What are some of the benifits of installing an aftermarket steering box? What are some of the brands out there?

I installed an AGR high ratio steering box with the matching pump in my Z,got them from http://summitracing.com .I noticed a big difference in road feel and turning ratio, lock to lock was a lot less turns than with a stock box.I cannot complain at all, best suspension upgrade I did besides the Hotchkis springs.

Will the AGR steering box be compatable with my 91' Camaros steering. What I mean is is it a direct replacement? Will it interfer with anything like airbag componts?
