1982 WS6 rear springs
I am replacing the gas tank on my 82 Recaro I have owned since new n since the rear end is out want to replace the rear springs. It has WS6 suspension of course. Does anyone know who carries them. I cannot find anyone that even refers to the WS6 suspension in that year. Is there a known part number or way to know how to order them. Are they in fact different than standard rear springs. What do I need to know? Thanks. Dan

"WS6" doesn't matter. Nobody carries them that way.
In the Moog brand, there are 2 part #s that fit our cars: CC635 which is a variable-rate, and 5665 constant-rate. Both fit all of these cars and are "better" than stock ones, even NEW stock ones let alone 40-odd-year-old ones that were worn out within their first 2 years of life to begin with. "WS6" is just a fluffy buzzword when applied to such matters.
CC635 is more like stock and limits "bottoming out", 5665 is better for "ultimate handling" on smooth surfaces like tracks or parking lots but the ride isn't as good. Take your pick according to your priorities.
