Front end vibration on interstate, need help

Hey all, I have a recent problem that's come up.
if I go 80 or above, my front end shakes real bad, it makes my dashboard vibrate violently and makes it hard to steer. I really don't want to have to rebuild the front end lol

Thanks for the replies in advance and let's hope I can get to the bottom of this

My first guess would be out of balanced wheel.

Re: Front end vibration on interstate, need help

Yup, that's one possibility.

Out of round (separated) tire or bent wheel are some others.

Swap the front & rear tires and see if it changes. If it does, it's a wheel/tire problem. If not it's something else. Check to see if the brakes on either side are getting unusually hot; this would probably be due to a failed rubber brake hose. If not, it's probably loose steering parts (tie rod ends, center link, idler arm), ball joints, or strut mounts.
