Shield-Front Suspension Strut

Hey,

Unfortunately while restoring my 1990 RS, my old shields were too worn out.
I search for the oem ones but they are discontinued since 2006....
Does anyone knows a acordion like shield that could fit the struts?
I bought the KYB 236001 in replacement of the oem ones.

Thx by advance!

I used a pair from Rancho. They work great.

Re: Shield-Front Suspension Strut

I sprayed black Plasti Dip on my blue Bilstein boots. Figured for a flexible product like an accordion-style shock boot, a flexible paint like Plasti Dip was perfect. Looks good, natural.

But such boots used to be available off the shelf in auto parts stores, in the aftermarket products sections. They probably still are, but I'm not sure if they offer different diameters for shocks and struts. Even if they're not on the shelves anymore, they can probably still be ordered from your local parts stores.

And if you can find any 3rdgens in junk yards, they usually still have their front suspensions intact, because nobody wants those parts, so you could probably get a pair of stock boots there.
