question on springs?

Hello, i have an 86 iroc w/ stock springs. im thinking of cutting them. if i cut a half coil off each spring about how much will that drop my car.... im looking to lower it around 2 inches... so how much should i cut off? tahnks

Don't do it.
I had a car where the springs were heated and retained and it rode like crap; I can only imagine what cutting it would do. Just go with Eibach's to be on the safe side.

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt/3.42
Why not do it right and buy some aftermarket lowering springs, I think that there are safety concerns/issues with cutting your existing springs.
