anyone else sell complete rears?
I looked at Spohn's site and the two rears they sell are great but real expensive. Is there any other companys or websites that sell complete rears less expensive?
that's about it .. $2500 for anything good :\ .. I heard you
could still get a dana44 from SLP ..but ..somehow I doubt it ..
they were still 1800 without brakes :\ much lighter than
the 12 bolt of the 9" though .....

Strange, Moser and Summers Brothers are the only companies that I know of selling bolt in rears for our cars. They are all pretty much the same price, just depends on which options you get with the rear...all are expensive. I just bought a Moser 12 bolt, it fits great and the quality is awesome.

You can go a cheaper route by buying an aftermarket bolt-in 9" without the center section. Get the housing and axles package. Unless you want an exotic gear set or carrier, go to the junk yard and pull out a center section out of any ford 9". Chances are you won't get any sort of locking diff or a good gear ratio but it will allow you to have a 9" under the car for a cheaper price. Check with the local speed shops for anyone selling used 9" parts. You might find better gears or carrier.
Most ford carriers use 28 or 31 spline axles. Both are easy to find. Order the aftermarket housing package with 31 spline axles so you can use a factory carrier. Going to 35 spline or higher means having to buy an aftermarket carrier (more cost).
The $2000-$2500 packages are complete diffs. Just add oil.
