front brake question..please read...
my front brakes started squealing so i figured the pads were gone, so i replaced them, but after i looked at the old ones, they werent even worn down to the part that makes them squeal, so then i put the new ones on, they still squeal, what is up? someone please help me out.thanx
It could be a few things. How do the slder bolts, o rins in the caliper and spacers look. These are often neglected and really should be replaced with the pads. They are all in a hardware kit (except for the bolts, which often just need a good cleaning with a very fine sand paper). How do the lttle stamped metal pieces behind the pad look, wasted or OK. You should also apply this silicone ype of substance to the back of the pads, which is supplied with bendix pads, I forget what it's called though

I suggest spraying anti squeal compound on the back of all four pads. Another contributing factor to this problem. Is exessive rotor runout. If you have the rotors turned (OH my *** spend more money) will also help to solve this problem.
