ES Motor Mounts + STB = No Go

Car: Formula

Engine: 6.0 LSX

Transmission: 4L60E

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt 3:27

ES Motor Mounts + STB = No Go

Ever since I put new ES motor mounts in the car it raised the engine a little (Yes they are in correctly. Made sure 1000 times) With placeing 2 washers under each bolt of the brace base (Hotckis) the STB fits fine but now my hood will not shut (Firebird). The tops the the base are digging into the hood. Is there anyhting I can do or anybody else experience this problem? Thanks

it seems to be a common problem with ES mounts. i tihnk someoen said using the ES trans mount helps the STB fit better. like i said "i think" i read it here.
