Lowering Springs
Lowering Springs
Guys-
I'm thinking I'd like to lower my IROC a little...
Right now, I'm pretty sure it's at stock specs, and I think dropping it an inch or so would be nice... what brand is the best bang for the buck?
I don't want to spend alot of money on this, since I'm doing headers, heads (maybe), and a chip right now...
Any guesses on prices?
How much is installation gonna run me?
Thanks

i just installed intrax spring today actually and love them. it lowers the car like 2'' in back and 1.8' in front(VERY LOW) but the handling is amazing. I searched around for a while and they were the cheapest and were like $189 from summit n installed them myself. Was very easy to install if you hae instructions or a manual(took me lik 2 1/2 hours)

I Installed the Eibach Pro Kit about 15 months ago. That lowers the car 1" at each corner. I also did shocks at that point. It was super easy and it greatly improved the handling.

I like it cg. I just wanted to close that fender gap up a bit. These things have so little ground clearance stock, any lower ride height and you're screwed at everytime. Besides I think the trick is to get the "ride-to-handling ratio" where it suits YOU. And the lower you go from stock the harsher the ride. Don't get me wrong guys, thirdgens look nasty layin' frame (that's why I said "ride" height!) but with many air systems you get the look along with a smooth ride only to lose high speed handling. It's a yin/yang thang!
